Kansas CBCAP Core Services comprise Community-Based direct services designed to strengthen and empower families to prevent child abuse and neglect, which include parenting education and skills initiatives, mental health parent resources/intervention, crisis nursery services, homelessness prevention services, crisis prevention case management, case management for caregivers with prior substance use, preventive legal services, family engagement in libraries, family resource centers, and home visiting.
Kansas CBCAP Core Services also include statewide prevention approaches for building infrastructure and public engagement including: Child Abuse Prevention Month activities, Parent Leadership Conference, 1-800-Children warmline, Trauma-informed care and other professional development training, Governor’s Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, and Well-Being Pathway.
